Arizona's Top Dermatology Practice

Dr. Betty Hinderks Davis is a nationally recognized board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon who has practiced in the greater Phoenix area since 2005. She has advanced the field of Dermatology and Mohs Surgery through her numerous scientific and educational contributions. While an expert in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, she is passionate about skin cancer prevention and early detection as well as working in conjunction with her patients to achieve optimal skin health.
Dr. Davis graduated as an Honors Scholar from the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC) majoring in Biochemistry and completed her medical school training at the UMC graduating Cum Laude. Her residency training in dermatology was then completed at the UMC. Her surgical fellowship took her to Birmingham, Alabama where she completed a Mohs and Dermatologic Procedural Fellowship with Dr. Gary Monheit. She also received extensive cosmetic training during this time. Dr. Davis’ fellowship culminated with the receipt of the Mohs College Theodore Tromovich Award for research done on periorbital tumors in 2004, which is the highest national fellow award presented by the Mohs College. In April 2017, she was also awarded the Outstanding Young Physician Honor for being distinguished in and contributing to the advancement of dermatology as a medical profession by the University of Missouri.
Dr. Davis is passionate about the patient experience and was the national recipient of the “Top Performer Clinic — Overall Patient Experience” in 2013 from Health Stream. Dr. Davis believes that great health care begins with a patient-centric team-based approach and works to ensure patients have the right care when needed and early diagnosis and treatment and cultivates an environment where patients are active in their care.
Dr. Benjamin B. Jones graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the discipline of History as well as graduating with University Honors, the highest academic distinction awarded to undergraduate students. While at BYU, he spent a semester abroad at Kings College, Cambridge in the United Kingdom, where he participated in research evaluating spinal cord injury repair. Also during his time at BYU, with the mentorship of Dr. James Dee Higley, Dr. Jones published research on the mother-infant relationship of Rhesus Macaque monkeys and their effects on the HPA axis.
Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. While completing his training, he was awarded a summer research fellowship where he worked on molecular mechanisms of malignant melanoma at the Huntsman Cancer Institute under the direction of Dr. Douglas Grossman. He was later awarded funding from the National Psoriasis Foundation and became a Psoriasis Research Fellow in the department of dermatology at the University of Utah, where both Drs. Kristina Callis-Duffin and Gerald Krueger served as mentors. His work included data collection for the Psoriasis Longitudinal Assessment and Registry (PSOLAR), collaboration with the National Institute of Health on work pertaining to the Human Microbiome, research on immunobullous disease affecting mucosal tissue, and development of evidence-based survey data collection.
Dr. Jones completed his Medicine Internship at Legacy Emanuel and Good Samaritan hospitals in Portland, Oregon. He completed dermatology residency at the University of Utah where he served as a chief resident his final year of training.
Dr. Jones greatly enjoys teaching and helped restructure the didactics curriculum for his fellow residents. He also continued his work on immunobullous disease and its effects on esophageal tissue, and is hopeful for the positive impact this data will have for patients.
Dr. Jones is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). He is incredibly excited to be joining Regency as a general dermatologist. His areas of interest include skin cancer treatment and prevention, immunobullous disease, papulosquamous disease, cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, and cosmetics.
Stephanie Spahr was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Grinnell College in Iowa and went on to graduate school at Midwestern University in Glendale. She spent time as a CNA in nursing homes and hospice and was a PT technician prior to attending PA school.
Her three greatest accomplishments include serving on a medical mission trip in Panama, being captain of her collegiate golf team during the first time in history the team made it to Nationals, and running a marathon. She has always had a passion for dermatology and looks forward to continuing to care for patients and practicing in the field.
Education:
Brittany Silverman is an Arizona native and nationally certified as a Physician Assistant. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Arizona, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. She then earned her Master’s degree at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. As a graduate student, she received clinical dermatology training at a private practice in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. After earning a perfect score on the Dermatology section of her licensing exam, Brittany completed additional training from the American Academy of Dermatology and became a proud Diplomate Fellow through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Brittany has a strong passion for Dermatology which began as a teenager. She strives to treat all her patients with a high degree of understanding and compassion. Her mission is to provide excellent patient-centered care and to help her patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She lives a very active lifestyle and loves hiking, traveling, running, cycling, and swimming.
Chen Wang, M.D. is a board-certified pathologist and board certified dermatopathologist. Dr. Wang received her M.D. degree from China Medical University and pursued postgraduate biomedical research training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Wang completed her residency training in pathology at the St. Barnabas Medical Center and her fellowship training in gynecology and breast pathology and cytology at Brown University School of Medicine. She also served as a clinical instructor of pathology at Brown Medical School during her fellowship in 2002.
Dr. Wang practiced as a general pathologist at Monongalia General Hospital and Ohio Valley Medical Center from 2002, until 2004 when she began her dermatopathology fellowship training at Tulane University School of Medicine.
Dr. Schultz appreciates both the art and science of surgery. He graduated from the University of California at Davis with honors in both art and genetics. He also played college football.
At Yale Medical School, Dr. Schultz earned two advanced degrees and a fully-funded fellowship through the Doris Duke Research Foundation. He graduated with the highest honors in medicine having been elected by the faculty to possess the best qualifications to be an outstanding physician and wrote the most outstanding research thesis for the graduating class. His research in vascular biology has resulted in two patents.
Dr. Schultz completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington. He then further specialized in hand and microsurgery from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a combined orthopedic and plastic surgery fellowship.
He has spent multiple years at a high volume, high acuity hand and craniofacial trauma center in Phoenix, Arizona servicing multiple level one trauma hospitals. For the last two years, he has been performing cosmetic surgery, as well as advanced breast, body and hand reconstruction.
In addition to hand and plastic surgery, Dr Schultz performs minimally invasive wrist surgery for arthritis and injury, as well as the endoscopic carpal tunnel release. He has expertise in upper extremity trauma from the elbow to fingers and performs microsurgical operations for arm and hand reanimation following nerve injuries. In addition, Dr Schultz uses his microsurgical expertise for all forms of advanced breast reconstruction. He is skilled in multiple cosmetic procedures from facial rejuvenation to body and breast recontouring/augmentation.
He is a board certified in plastic and hand surgery and has published multiple papers in peer reviewed journals on these subjects.
Zoe MacIsaac, MD, attended the University of Virginia College of Arts and Sciences to earn her undergraduate degree in biology, followed by completing her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She then continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, spending two years in the Craniofacial Biology Laboratory at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. During that time she performed basic science research on bone tissue regeneration for calvarial defects, in addition to clinical research. Dr. MacIsaac’s work has been presented at numerous regional, national and international meetings and she has won awards including the Kawamoto Best Paper at the American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons, and the AO North America Best Overall Paper Award. Dr. MacIsaac has co-authored book chapters in “Operative Otolaryngology” and in “Aesthetic Surgery for Men”.
Dr. MacIsaac completed six years of integrated plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), consistently ranked by Doximetry as one of the top three training programs in the United States. She sought to attend UPMC to learn from world class faculty, continue to enjoy a wide range of research opportunities, and to experience the breadth of cases in plastic surgery, from microsurgical replantation and breast reconstruction, to hand and face trauma at a multiple Level 1 centers and a magnet children’s hospital, to ample aesthetic procedures.
Dr. MacIsaac enjoys the breadth of plastic surgery. She is dedicated patient safety and to restoring form and function, with commitment to achieving natural appearing, long-lasting results.
Her pecial interests include: facial aesthetics (including rejuvenation and rhinoplasty), facial trauma (and general reconstruction), breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, fat grafting for breast and face.
